I want you to realize that in living inside a world in which you “have to suffer rejection”, it makes you a victim and you have no power in that.
And when you become a victim, suddenly all your reality is tainted with that rejection, fear, trauma, and it colors everything you do in your work and therefore you have even less power.
When, actually, your power as an actor is that you have chosen this profession, knowing that the process of it is: we call a certain number of people and we end up working with one of them. It doesn't mean that it's rejection. In reality there’s people coming and auditioning and it’s all that's happening in reality, people acting. Nothing else is happening.
When you watch my training, you’ll see that I really want you to be responsible for
the fact that :
You choose acting.
You accept the invitation to audition.
You show up fully open & committed to your choice that's what you're responsible for. That's where your power is. That's where you want to put your mind: being open & committed. Like a pro: so that means EVEN UNDER PRESSURE.
Even if the audition comes at the last minute, even if the casting director is stressed and busy and doesn't pay attention to you, even if you're on a difficult set.
Make sure that you can be open and present in any type of circumstance and then be responsible for your choice. That is powerful.
So this will trigger most of you, but I am a coach and that's what coaches do for the ones who are ready to experience some transformation, so here we go...
What I'm going to invite you to realize is that you might be involved with rejection because it might be the best excuse for not being able to have the type of success that you want. There I said it.
