Why don’t we feel free more often?

Do you know what the sensation of freedom is?

I find that most actors do. It probably happened this way: You were in acting class, maybe even a little unsure about whether acting was for you. Then you did that one scene, and you felt incredibly ALIVE.

Other ways I've heard actors use to describe the experience: freeing, powerful, like being high, floating, flowing. For the first time, everything you are and feel is being valued, without any restrictions or boundaries.

It's delicious, isn't it?

It's like breathing fully for the first time, and from that moment, you're hooked on acting.

But once you start acting professionally, there are so many things that can be out of alignment for you. Maybe you're in the audition room and the CD isn't really in tune with you. Maybe you're not super excited about the roles you're booking, your scene partner, the director, how much time you have to prepare, or the whole production itself. And we're not even mentioning personal life complications that can sneak in... Whatever that is that's out of alignment, you begin to feel your instrument shrink...

All of these things, from receiving the sides and discovering a role to being on set doing take after take, can provide a lot of reasons for you to not feel that incredible sensation of freedom, which is why you got into acting in the first place! Suddenly, it's not fun anymore.

I understand how frustrating and upsetting that is, %FIRSTNAME%.

You may think all these circumstances are preventing you from being free, but they're not the real reason.

When you watch my free training, you’ll discover that...

  1. You have been taught your whole life to not be free, so is it any wonder you have trouble achieving it when you act? You're under constant constraint from all angles.

  2. You don't want to count on all the circumstances aligning to create the perfect environment for you to feel free. Most often, things will not go your way, so you may be waiting for a long time. ;)

  3. The answer is not more training, more classes, more methods. It’s unlearning. While it feels counter-intuitive at first, you can actually undo that restrictive programming to reset yourself to your original, pure, free self.

Watch the full explanation below.

After you watch the training, I’d love to hear from you, so I invite you to join in the conversation happening in our private Facebook Group. You’ll also get access to more videos and resources, and connect with more than a THOUSAND like-minded actors across the globe.
