Are you feeling burned out?


Are you exhausted?

You’re in good company. I hear from a lot of actors that the business side of things is really draining.

Even if they feel very strongly about being an artist…

Even if they’re comfortable with their instinct and freedom…

Even if they can consistently feel that sensation of bliss and being alive when they act…

There are just so many things to do as an actor that don’t involve acting!

There’s training - you spend so much time and money finding classes and workshops, and maybe you’re still not able to book work or the type of work you want to be doing.

There’s the casting process - finding an agent, going to auditions and meeting with casting directors, callbacks, screen tests and signing a big, scary contract. That can be very overwhelming and take up a lot of concentration and energy.

And I often meet actors who are so thirsty artistically and creatively who want to defend amazing, impactful projects and characters, and they just don't have access to certain auditions. So you can burn out even if you don’t do all the above steps, just trying to get to that next level!

And then there’s the marketing side - your reel, your headshots, networking, promoting a film or show or play you’re in, feeling like you always need to be on to the next project.

Look, I’ll be frank: There's never been as much burnout as there is nowadays because there is so much to do.

But trying to do it all isn’t the answer.
