Are you ashamed your career hasn't picked up yet? If you want to read 1 of my Blogs READ THIS ONE.

Sometimes people will ask you what you’ve been working on and you have nothing to say, and you might feel embarrassed or even a little ashamed about that.

People’s opinions and added financial pressure from not working can make you question your talent or future as an actor too.

You carry that shame to the audition room which means you’re carrying more pain than is necessary.

Why do you feel frustration, shame and worry in the first place?

When you watch my training you'll discover that We’re a product of a society and school system that believes in punishment! You feel shame when someone asks how your acting career is going because you’ve been wired to obey external authority and approval. Or else, there was pain.

You were taught that external authorities have the right to harm you and humiliate you to ‘teach you a lesson’.

So when someone asks you “how’s your career doing?” you go back to that little child that thought there was something wrong with you and you had to obey in order to not get hurt.

You turn into that little child when you enter the audition room and when you get on a film set.

Your whole instrument shuts down everytime there’s a challenge! It’s not because there’s something wrong with you. YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. Your opinions, emotions and sensations are perfect.

I’m sorry that you had to grow up like that. I’m sorry that you were raised in a context where you could be hurt and humiliated if you were not doing exactly as you were told. When you’re asked if your career is going well and it’s not, you go straight back to that little child who felt ashamed and humiliated and you shut down again.

You carry this burden around with you in everything you do, and it’s weighing your artistic work down.

IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT. IT’S NOT OK.

This is why we do the work we do. The opportunity is to undo all that crappy conditioning and wiring so you can BE YOU AGAIN. To show up, fully yourself, with all your emotions that are simply perfect and human is why audiences pay money - for the permission to feel.

Watch my training below to hear all my thoughts on this topic.
