You may feel that you're busy running around to do all the actor stuff but you're not moving forward. You may have a lot happening in your finances, health or in all the aspects of your personal life; but then there are so many things you feel you need to do as an actor, like working on your headshots and reel, looking for a new agent or considering a new one, spending a lot of time applying for work, learning lines, taping, auditioning, doing workshops, acting classes and showcases. In short, you may be investing a lot of time and money, expecting some return from all this investment and yet not seeing any results. As a consequence of this, you may feel exhausted and frustrated.
When you watch my traning you'll discover that the problem is not that you’re working on all of those things. The real issue is that you’re trying to do all those things without having a fully present, free and purposeful instrument. If you’re auditioning, taping, creating your marketing materials, and you don’t show up 100% open, alive, authentic and instinctive in them; they will not be great and you will not book or get the results that you want; the casting directors will not see your artistic essences shine through them. If you’re trying to move through your acting career with half an instrument, that can’t work, no matter how hard you try.
However, if your instrument is extraordinary, you’re able to deliver impactful, magnetic performances that are award-worthy and fulfilling to you. When you take care of your capacity to be completely alive, all the ducks will set up automatically and everything will flow because you will become a hot commodity. They’ll change scripts, genders and role types for you because they will want to work with you.
If casting directors, directors or agents are looking for an actor, they want to see someone that can show up as the most authentic and free version of themselves because that's what you're selling. When they say “action”, are you able to be 100% present? If you are not, you have nothing to sell.
So if you want to deliver those performances that impact the audience, make a difference in the world and are recognized; the work to do is to take care of your instrument right now.
