One of the biggest problems you may experience as an Actor is your struggle to get more auditions. You may have heard that in order to have auditions, you should have an agent, be in the “right city”, have a reel and headshots, go to workshops, connect with casting directors, etc. So this is what you will tend to do and you may spend a lot of your money, time and work doing it.
However, when you watch my training below you will discover that the main ingredient to land auditions is YOU.
Guess who shows up in those meetings with Agents, emails to Casting Directors, headshots, reel, self tapes, workshops and networking? YOU. You are definitely the common denominator.
Therefore, once you are 100% free, instinctive, alive, present and open to all of your humanity, you will be able to do all those things 100%. But if you are not 100% free, you won’t be able to show up completely free in everything you do as an actor.
For example, if you want to open a bakery , you may want to open up the store, find the right people to sell your bread, put some ads, print flyers, etc. But most importantly, you need to have a bread that is 100% unique, incredible and different from what everybody else sells. Otherwise, no matter how much you advertise it, hire people to sell it, and have a store in the right location,you will not sell any bread if the ingredients are not 100% yummy.
It’s the same thing for acting. If you spend all of your time on the business, but not on the artistic side of things, what you sell will be fake, fabricated and inauthentic. Because part of you will be pushing hard, pleasing others and pretending.
In conclusion, if you are not available 100%, Casting Directors will not be interested since they cannot see YOU 100%.
On the contrary, if you are able to show up in the depth, uniqueness and freedom of your humanity; you will even get job offers that you did not even audition for. You will impact Casting Directors,Directors and the audience because you will be incredibly present and vibrating. And now, more than ever, the audience is thirsty for real, raw human beings.
