Do You Think It's Too Late For You As An Actor?

As actors, you may feel thirsty to express yourself through acting. But when it comes to starting your acting career, you might prevent yourself from doing it because you may think it’s never gonna work since it’s already too late. Or you may have already started your career and got to a point in your life where you also believe it’s too late for you or you’re too old to be an actor.

When you watch my training below you'll discover that when part of your energy is stuck in that loop of thinking it’s too late or you’re gonna get hurt if you go for it; your energy is not showing up since it’s busy exiting, so you’re not totally in the moment when you’re acting or auditioning. Therefore, you can’t give it your 100%; you can’t be in character and defend their needs. This doesn’t work for you and it doesn’t make you book.

You might have pushed yourself to believe in yourself so that the rest of people can also believe in you. Or you might have looked for actors who made it when they were past their twenties, thirties, fourties or whatever decade you’re in. But none of them will really do it for you either.

However, when you’re really present in a scene, there’s no such a thing as time. You’re neither in the past thinking you should have started before, nor in the future thinking you’re not gonna get it. The only thing that exists is NOW and everything becomes possible. Your energy is not stuck in your ego and acting career, you’re completely free, instinctive and 100% present for your character’s needs, which is your job description. When you’re present, casting directors can feel it and they may rewrite roles for you: they may change the gender, age or nationality of the character or give you something else. You are being seen for something that's way beyond what you were called in.

However, we have been conditioned to believe there is a “right” way to think, feel and behave, a “right” way to do the scene so we can please others and fit in. Inevitably, this prevents us from being present. So the work to do is to undo that people-pleasing conditioning that prevents you from being fully you and that makes you fake, push, look for the “right” way to do things and be hopeless.

Watch my training to hear all my thoughts on this topic.

After you watch the training, I'd love for you to join in the conversation happening in our private Facebook Group. You can get answers for your specific situation directly from me and connect with HUNDREDS of like-minded actors across the globe, so we can move things forward faster together!

I also want to let you know that I will be hosting a FREE 5-Day online acting workshop “From OK to Oscar Worthy Performances”. From March 21st to March 25th, we’ll uncover why some actors seem to give consistent stellar performances and why some don’t and what you can do about it.
