Getting a callback is really exciting because it means they liked you and they want to see you again under a magnifying glass. 🔍 The stakes might be higher because you’re one step closer to booking the job. This added pressure can make you attracted to the result more than before.
The catch-22 is that when you think about booking you’re not present anymore. So your instrument tightens, you repress that pressure and anxiety and you end up not booking.
In our community we have a program called the Reset Journey from Resistance to Freedom which is a 33-day journey where actors work on their resistance, freedom and instinct. They train everyday so their resistance lessens simultaneously while their instinct is re-awakened.
When you watch my training you'll discover that the phases we go through are:
1️⃣ Undo the resistance. Here we undo the wiring and conditioning that has made you have the impression that you cannot feel your emotions. We get to the bare, natural part of you that you were born with. The free self that you already have inside you.
2️⃣ Unearth your instinct that's sitting under all that conditioning, so it's accessible again.
3️⃣ Muscle up your instinct so that whatever tense audition circumstance you’re in and pressure you feel, your instinct is reliable. The pressure becomes integrated with your instinct so it doesn’t actually shut down.
Before the Reset, many actors say that their instrument shrinks under pressure. 😩 After the Reset, their instrument is muscled-up to handle any type of pressure and now they feel they can play with it and even use it for their character. 💪🏾
